2023 Thornhill Tornado Swim Team Registration is OPEN!

Hello Thornhill families! The flowers are blooming, which means warm weather is on its way ... Tornado season is just around the corner! Practices begin May 15th, and we can't wait to get the kids in the water and start the FUN!

Team Suits

The Tornados will use the same team suit as last year. It looks great and is available via our Swimoutlet.com team store for under $30! Legacy suits are always welcome -- we love seeing our swimmers in suits from years past! For those who are unsure about sizes, I am in the process of requesting a suit "fit kit", which will provide some options for try-on. I will send an email with a try-on time as soon as they are available.

Greater Charlotte Swim League Policies
Thornhill participates in the Greater Charlotte Swim League, and as such we must abide by their by-laws. GCSL requires that all swimmers be capable of swimming the length of the pool without assistance by the second meet. Teams are expected to self-regulate to ensure compliance with this policy.

Thornhill encourages swimmers of all abilities to join our team, but water safety is always our coaches' #1 concern. It is expected that swimmers are independent in the water and able to move horizontally to be part of the team. If you have any questions about whether your swimmer is ready for team, please contact Michelle Ludwiczak.

Every year the details that go into a successful season come together thanks to all of the wonderful work of our swim team family! Summer swim team is about FUN, and our coaches do all they can to ensure a positive experience for all participants. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out!
