Requirements for Participation
Thornhill participates in the Greater Charlotte Swim League, and as such we must abide by their by-laws. GCSL requires that all swimmers be capable of swimming the length of the pool without assistance by the second meet. Teams are expected to self-regulate to ensure compliance with this policy.
Thornhill encourages resident swimmers of all abilities to join our team, but water safety is always our coaches' #1 concern. It is expected that swimmers are independent in the water and able to move horizontally to be part of the team.
