2024 Thornhill Tornado Swim Season Preview!

Greetings Tornado families! I am excited to share that planning has officially begun for the 2024 Tornado swim team season!

Dust Off the Swim Cap!

For those who haven't been in the water for a while and are looking to get in some pre-season practice, SwimMAC's Spring session for the Junior Swim League (JSL) program runs 2/19 - 5/2.  JSL is a fabulous opportunity for kids ages 6-12 to receive instruction on basic stroke techniques and endurance training before the summer season begins.

2024 Schedule

The Greater Charlotte Swim League surveyed its 40 teams, and a majority requested the season complete prior to July 4th due to challenges with attendance for all-stars.  As a result, our season is a bit more compact, so we will hope that a warm Spring will allow us to get in the water early!  Please find important dates about Thornhill's 2024 season below:

  • 3/24 - 4/21 -- Swim team registration (details coming soon!)
  • 5/13 -- Tornado afternoon practices begin
    • 4 - 4:30 -- Shrimps (ages 5-6)
